Chapples Beach Cafe

The food was very nice and reasonably priced, the sausage was excellent. The service was very really good and came with a nice smile. We loved sitting by the sea, what a great view for breakfast!

Very well made coffee. Thank you to the Chapples girls who looked after us well. Great location directly on the beach. Very reasonable prices for a sunny Bank Holiday Monday right by the sea.

Chapples Beach Cafe is an outlet on Beer Beach. There are lots of picnic tables and walkways are laid across the pebble beach to facilitate moving about. They supplied us with very good tea and coffee. There were lots of people at other tables eating good looking food from the cafe. They appear to rent out both beach huts and deckchairs. Beer beach is a delightful spot on the Southwest Coast Path and having the cafe on the beach makes it all the better. We didn’t spot toilets there, but there are some nearby in the town.

Arriving at Beer beach early on a summers morning for a swim in it’s clear waters is made extra special when that day can start with a good coffee and an excellent bacon sandwich from Chapples set right on the beach. My wife’s tea, toast and marmalade were also just what the start to a great day needed. We just touched on what was on offer but the service received and quality of the food was top notch so we’d highly recommend heading for Chapples as it’s clear that the new owner (from August 2024) knows how to offer and do that bit more that makes all the difference

Lovely experience, the owner is just a beautiful human being. Came here asked if we could hire the umbrella as we had a little baby, owner was closing the cafe let me borrow umbrella anyway didn’t charge anything, Didn’t expect me to buy anything, but I have to say the ice creams were delicious - rum and raisin was just great. Will definitely be back!!

What a great place for breakfast! The food is good and hot, the service is cheerful, there is proper china proper cutlery and proper coffee, wooden picnic benches and the sound of waves gently lapping against the pebble beach.

Wandered down in the morning for breakfast, stumbled across the hut. Small menu but all the essentials for a breakfast. No vegetarian meat alternatives but the team were more than accommodating and provided a ‘meat free’ alternative to the English breakfast - with an extra hash brown, fried tomato & fried egg! Beautiful spot on the beach, would recommend to any passer-by or local visitor.

Sam at Chapples was such a help recently, when we came to Beer to Scatter my Dad's ashes. He gave us lots of advice and reserved 2 large tables for 13 of us. The Menu is good and varied, and the staff excellent. Cheers
